MEGADETH Records Acoustic Set At SiriusXM Studios In New York City
August 10, 2013MEGADETH recorded a five-song acoustic set on Thursday (August 8) for SiriusXM radio in New York City. The band played "Symphony Of Destruction", "She-Wolf", "Kingmaker", "Foreclosure Of A Dream" and "Countdown To Extinction" for SiriusXM's rock channels Liquid Metal, Octane and Ozzy's Boneyard. SiriusXM director of programming and on-air host Jose Mangin interviewed MEGADETH for Liquid Metal and recorded a Liquid Metal takeover.
After the band finished the acoustic set, Mangin picked up MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine's Dean Mako acoustic guitar to play "Holy Wars" along with the band; with a smile on his face, Dave then taught him how to play it correctly. Towards the end of the interview, Mustaine presented his Dean Mako to Jose as a parting gift.
